Job Description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Civil and MEP) to join our team in Bahrain. The role involves preparing cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and supporting civil, structural, and MEP works. The candidate should be skilled in BOQ preparation, contract administration, and cost control within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and measurements using IFC and shop drawings
• Assist in developing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on project specifications
• Contribute to cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare comparison reports
• Track material usage, labor costs, and project expenditures, reporting any variances
• Assist with interim payment applications, progress valuations, and variation claims
• Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and correspondence
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, contract terms, and industry standards
• Support preparation of cost forecasts, financial reports, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, and site teams to align costs with execution

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
• 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor (GCC experience preferred)
• Familiarity with civil and MEP measurement and cost estimation
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and basic knowledge of cost management tools (CostX, Planswift, etc.)
• Strong understanding of BOQs, tendering, and contract administration
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
