Hiring – Chief/Senior Accountant in Bahrain

A highly reputed and diversified group company in Riffa, Bahrain is seeking a qualified and experienced Chief/Senior Accountant. This role requires a skilled professional to lead accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Chief/Senior Accountant
• Location: Riffa, Bahrain
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Nationality: Indian
• Candidates must be currently residing in Bahrain

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT return filing
• Monitor day-to-day operations of the accounts department
• Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
• Perform budget preparation and variance analysis reporting
• Ensure integrity of General Ledger and sub-ledgers
• Conduct ageing analysis of accounts receivable and payable
• Handle accounts up to finalization
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations
• Maintain fixed assets registers
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits
• Liaise with banks and other financial institutions
• Report directly to the Financial Controller

Requirements:

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
