Chief Accountant

We are hiring an experienced Chief Accountant with strong cost-controlling and financial management experience in the Retail and Food & Beverage (F&B) industry. This role leads the accounting function and supports business growth through accurate reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.

Job Overview

The Chief Accountant will manage all accounting operations for the Retail and F&B division. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient cost control across all outlets. You will also support management with financial insights that improve profitability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis
• Monitor cash flow, cost control, profit margins, and overall financial performance across retail and F&B operations
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and statutory reporting requirements
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Supervise, guide, and develop the accounting team
• Work closely with operations, procurement, and management teams
• Support ERP system improvements and accounting software enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a senior or managerial role
• Strong experience in Retail and/or F&B accounting, including inventory and cost of sales management
• Proven expertise in cost control, forecasting, and financial planning
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and financial reporting practices
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong experience with accounting or ERP systems
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to work across departments
