Job Overview:
Almoayyed Solar Co. is looking for experienced Electrical Technicians to help install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in solar PV projects. The technician will ensure that solar power systems are safe, efficient, and reliable for residential, commercial, and industrial use. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of solar installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Commissioning:

• Install and wire electrical components, inverters, and panels for solar PV systems.
• Connect solar systems to the electrical grid, ensuring proper grounding and protection.
• Assist in installing transformers, switchgear, and battery storage systems.
• Test and commission systems to ensure they work correctly and meet standards.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in inverters, panels, and electrical distribution boards.
• Replace or upgrade components as needed to maintain system efficiency.
• Use thermal imaging and performance checks to spot potential issues before they arise.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures during installations and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work meets national regulations and manufacturer instructions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, following Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.

Project Support and Documentation:

• Assist project teams during the electrical design and planning stages.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance, testing, and repairs for documentation purposes.
• Provide technical insights to improve system design or solve on-site challenges.

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working at heights, on rooftops, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or solar PV systems.
  • Experience working with both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Certifications:
  • Electrical licensing or certification (preferred).
  • Solar PV training or certification (advantageous, but not required).
• Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Basic understanding of SCADA and monitoring systems.
