Manager – Drilling (Bahrain, Manama)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement drilling programs aligned with production targets and budgets.
• Operational Leadership: Manage all drilling activities, including rig selection, well design, and execution while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze drilling data, identify efficiency improvements, and reduce costs.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing drilling team, fostering a culture of safety and innovation.
• Contract & Vendor Management: Oversee drilling contracts and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate drilling risks while developing contingency plans.
• Technical Expertise: Stay updated on new drilling technologies and provide expert guidance.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate drilling reports and operational documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of drilling operations experience with a proven track record in well delivery.
• Expertise in drilling engineering principles, well design, and drilling equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
• Proficiency in drilling software and data analysis tools.
• Industry certifications (highly desirable).
