Civil Engineer – Manama, Bahrain

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of civil engineering projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing project objectives by reviewing proposals, plans, and collaborating with the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and management.
• Determine project responsibilities by identifying phases, assigning personnel, and reviewing contractor bids.
• Define project specifications through product design analysis, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Conduct product performance tests to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor project schedules by calculating time requirements, sequencing elements, and resolving issues.
• Manage project costs by obtaining approval for expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
• Prepare detailed project status reports, summarizing trends and recommending actions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations.
• Oversee the project database by writing computer programs and ensuring data backups.
• Comply with government regulations to maintain the company’s reputation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports.
• Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
• Evaluate customer proposals and specifications for feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
• Recommend design modifications and assist in troubleshooting system issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Category License grade A.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in estimating costs, submitting bids, and preparing contract documents.
• Strong understanding of project management and cost control.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Leadership skills to manage a team and ensure the successful completion of projects.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and design standards.
