Chief Accountant – Manama, Bahrain

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our accounting operations in Manama, Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting senior management with strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to create accurate reports, forecasts, and budget plans.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external partners.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support management with budgeting, planning, and decision-making processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
