As we grow, we seek a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accountant to support our financial operations and maintain accuracy.


Position Summary

We are hiring an experienced Part-Time Accountant with retail experience to handle daily financial tasks, oversee inventory control, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including VAT. You will work closely with the owner and store team to maintain financial health and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile company accounts and general ledger entries
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and track purchase orders, supplier payments, and vendor accounts
  • Perform inventory control with store staff: stock checks, valuations, and loss tracking
  • File and manage VAT records, returns, and compliance documentation
  • Create accurate financial reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow projections
  • Assist in monthly financial reviews and budget analysis
  • Manage petty cash and bank reconciliations
  • Keep all financial records accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and inventory cost control

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in retail or FMCG
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Zoho, or other cloud-based accounting software
  • Familiarity with Bahrain VAT regulations and retail financial practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking tools
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
  • Available on-site at least 2 days per week (more during month-end or audits)
