Teaching Assistants – Special Education, Manama, Bahrain

We are hiring compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students with autism and other special education needs in Manama, Bahrain. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) in small groups and 1:1 sessions.
• Implement behavior and communication strategies under supervision.
• Collect simple data on student progress and learning outcomes.
• Assist with classroom routines, sensory activities, and life skills development.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students.

Training Provided:

• ABA-informed classroom practices
• Visual supports and TEACCH methods
• Communication supports (PECS, AAC)
• Positive behavior support and safeguarding

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Psychology, Speech & Language, Education/Teaching, or a related field.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow evidence-based practices.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working with autism, SEN classrooms, or therapy settings.
• Familiarity with ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, or AFLS assessments.
