Accountant at Leading Company in Bahrain

A well-established company in Bahrain is hiring an experienced Accountant to manage our accounting department and oversee financial operations. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reports, and payroll.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing processes, financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Review journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure they meet accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variances to guide decision-making.
  • Work with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to meet audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide financial analysis to support senior management in decision-making.
  • Guide and mentor accounting staff, offering support and growth opportunities.
  • Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a trading company.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and regulations.

Salary Package:
BHD 300 (all-inclusive) + Transport + Airfare every 2 years + Medical Insurance.
