We are a reputable company in Jidhafs, Bahrain, seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of financial records, accounts payable and receivable, VAT compliance, audits, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Assist with VAT filing and ensure adherence to Bahrain tax requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and address audit queries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to identify discrepancies.
- Record financial transactions in accounting software and manage financial data securely.
- Perform ad hoc accounting tasks and assist in special finance projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software such as Tally.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accuracy and problem-solving.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with the finance team and management.
- Immediate joining availability is preferred.
