Baker – Zinj, Manama

We are hiring an experienced Baker to join our team in Zinj, Manama. The role requires someone with strong baking skills who can prepare high-quality breads, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of breads (sourdough, baguettes, whole grain) and pastries (croissants, puff pastries).
  • Follow recipes, production schedules, and portion guidelines accurately.
  • Mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake dough using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, proofers, sheeters, and ovens safely.
  • Check the quality of ingredients and finished products to ensure consistency and freshness.
  • Decorate and finish pastries with glazes, fillings, toppings, or icing.
  • Keep the workstation and baking area clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Track inventory of baking supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Assist in developing and testing new bakery items.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Provide customer service if working in a retail bakery setting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bread and pastry-making techniques.
  • Ability to operate baking equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality production and food safety standards.
