A well-established retail business in Manama, Bahrain, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail accounting and be capable of managing various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process daily sales, purchases, and expense entries.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns on time.
- Generate financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and balance sheets.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions.
- Track stock inventory and prepare valuation reports.
- Handle payroll processing and salary calculations for employees.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
- Provide cost analysis and help with budget planning.
- Issue barcodes for new inventory.
- Monitor live stock and branch-specific accounts.
- Maintain records for buying, selling, exchanging, ordering, and repairing items.
Job Details:
- Location: On-site in Manama, Bahrain
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: BD 150 – 300 (based on experience and qualifications)
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of accounting experience in Bahrain.
- Previous experience in retail accounting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must be available to join immediately.
