General Manager – Scrap Recycling Company, Manama, Bahrain

A leading ISO-certified scrap recycling company in Manama, Bahrain is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations across multiple divisions, including aluminum melting, steel melting, and export operations. Our company focuses on ferrous and non-ferrous scrap processing while maintaining high standards in environmental responsibility, quality management, and occupational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations across aluminum and steel melting divisions.
• Drive domestic and international scrap sales and build strong export client relationships.
• Oversee inventory, production schedules, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
• Monitor KPIs and implement cost-effective process improvements.
• Maintain environmental, safety, and quality management systems.
• Coordinate internal departments including finance, logistics, and compliance.
• Mentor mid-level managers and team leaders.
• Represent the company in regulatory discussions and industry forums.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in recycling, manufacturing, or export-focused industries.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Proven experience managing multi-divisional operations.
• Proficient in ERP systems and inventory control workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management.

Preferred Attributes:

• Multilingual, including Arabic (advantageous).
• Flexible to work across different divisions and schedules.
• Experience with team alignment, phased launches, and operational scaling.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and sustainability compliance.
• MBA or specialization in international business (preferred but not mandatory).
