Gypsum Carpenter – Manama, Bahrain

We are looking for a skilled Gypsum Carpenter to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing gypsum boards, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in walls, ceilings, partitions, and more. If you have experience in gypsum board installation and finishing techniques, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to various construction projects.

Position: Gypsum Carpenter

Location: Manama, Bahrain
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Measure, cut, and install gypsum board panels to create walls, ceilings, and partitions based on blueprints and project specifications.
• Framing: Construct metal or wood framing structures to support gypsum board installations, ensuring proper alignment and structural integrity.
• Finishing: Tape, mud, and sand gypsum board seams and joints to create smooth, seamless surfaces ready for painting or wallpapering.
• Patching & Repair: Repair damaged gypsum board surfaces by patching holes, cracks, or imperfections, blending them seamlessly with surrounding areas.
• Texture Application: Apply texture coatings or finishes to gypsum board surfaces as per project specifications, using techniques such as stippling, spraying, or hand texturing.
• Soundproofing & Insulation: Install soundproofing materials, insulation, or vapor barriers behind gypsum boards to enhance acoustic and energy efficiency.
• Trim Work: Install and finish gypsum board trim, including corner beads, edge caps, and moldings for a polished appearance.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety regulations, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and handle tools and materials safely.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other construction trades, such as carpenters, electricians, and painters, for seamless gypsum board integration in construction projects.
• Cleanup & Maintenance: Clean work areas and dispose of construction debris, performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience with gypsum board installation, including framing, taping, mudding, and sanding.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and project specifications.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with other tradespeople.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment.
