We are looking for an experienced part-time Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to handle cost estimation, procurement, and budget management for our construction projects in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate cost control, compliance with Bahraini regulations, and efficient project execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity take-offs using project drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project budgets, identify potential cost overruns, and recommend solutions.
- Manage procurement, including supplier negotiations, quotations, and material orders.
- Conduct valuations, assess variations, and settle final accounts with contractors.
- Maintain financial records, including estimates, invoices, and payment certificates.
- Ensure compliance with Bahraini construction standards and market rates.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: RICS membership or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience:
- 3–5+ years in cost estimation and quantity surveying.
- Experience in procurement and budget management.
- Bahrain project experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Strong understanding of construction pricing, contracts, and local regulations.
- Language: Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail in financial documentation.
- Effective communication for stakeholder coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in facility projects or public-sector construction.
- Familiarity with Bahraini procurement laws and tendering processes.
