Job Overview:

A reputable company in Bahrain is looking for an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of building systems. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and technical knowledge to ensure smooth facility management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and elevators.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and contractors for efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure all systems operate efficiently while following safety regulations.
  • Respond to tenant/resident requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  • Oversee cleaning and janitorial services to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Manage security personnel and implement access control and CCTV monitoring.
  • Supervise landscaping and grounds maintenance for a well-kept exterior.
  • Ensure proper waste management and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Implement pest control measures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Oversee concierge and reception services for excellent customer experience.
  • Handle tenant move-ins/move-outs and coordinate community events.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, controlling costs and identifying savings.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers for maintenance, security, and other services.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Implement safety and emergency response procedures to protect tenants and assets.
  • Address tenant concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on building operations and expenses.
  • Oversee building improvement projects and renovations.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Manager in commercial, residential, or high-rise properties.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Must have a valid Bahrain or GCC driving license.
