Hiring: Senior Accountant – Bahrain

Location: Manama, Bahrain
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Supervise daily accounting transactions and generate error-free reports
  • Identify and improve internal controls to mitigate errors
  • Prepare journal vouchers and reconcile with the general ledger
  • Schedule and verify supplier payments
  • Assist the Accounts Manager in month-end and year-end closing
  • Monitor staff-related payments and recoveries
  • Oversee petty cash management and ensure proper cash flow
  • Assist with VAT returns and financial audits
  • Support budgeting and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate VAT filing and compliance

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-6 years of experience as a Senior Accountant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset and team leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Bahrain VAT filing and financial reporting
