Job Responsibilities:
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Supervise daily accounting transactions and generate error-free reports
- Identify and improve internal controls to mitigate errors
- Prepare journal vouchers and reconcile with the general ledger
- Schedule and verify supplier payments
- Assist the Accounts Manager in month-end and year-end closing
- Monitor staff-related payments and recoveries
- Oversee petty cash management and ensure proper cash flow
- Assist with VAT returns and financial audits
- Support budgeting and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate VAT filing and compliance
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience as a Senior Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills (written & verbal)
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset and team leadership skills
- Knowledge of Bahrain VAT filing and financial reporting
