Hiring – Website Support and Development Specialist in Bahrain

A company in Manama, Bahrain is seeking a skilled Website Support and Development Specialist to maintain, support, and enhance their public-facing website and cloud infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring website stability, performance, security, and ongoing feature development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Website Development and Support
    • Provide full support for the website built on ASP.NET (C#) and hosted on Windows Server/IIS
    • Manage Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) database, including performance tuning and administration
  2. Cloud Hosting Management
    • Monitor and manage website hosting on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Ensure server security, stability, and optimized performance
    • Handle server configuration, scaling, patching, and resource monitoring
  3. API Development and Maintenance
    • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot RESTful and SOAP APIs for internal systems and third-party integrations
  4. Website Maintenance and Enhancements
    • Update page content and add new features
    • Fix bugs and maintain all existing eServices and business logic
  5. New Feature Development
    • Allocate a minimum of 200 hours annually for new modules, feature requests, or system upgrades
  6. Urgent Support and Incident Management
    • Handle critical issues outside normal support hours, including outages, security threats, and service failures
    • Follow response and escalation procedures to ensure minimal downtime
  7. Other Functions
    • Manage chatbot support, maintenance, and licensing
    • Handle narration functions and licensing

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong ASP.NET (C#) development skills
    • Advanced MS SQL Server development, administration, and optimization
    • Proficient in Windows Server/IIS administration
  • Cloud and DevOps:
    • Experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, VPC, monitoring tools)
    • Knowledge of server patching, scaling, security, and configuration best practices
  • Web Services:
    • Experience developing and supporting APIs and web services
  • Support & Soft Skills:
    • Strong troubleshooting, bug fixing, and root cause analysis skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • Willingness to be on-call for urgent support as per SLA requirements
