Job Description

We are hiring a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support our cost and contract management team. The role involves assisting with civil, structural, and MEP quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate project documentation. This position offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction projects across Bahrain and the GCC.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs and measurements using IFC and shop drawings
• Support in developing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) as per project requirements
• Help prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents under senior QS supervision
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison reports
• Monitor material usage, labor costs, and project expenditures, highlighting any variances
• Assist in preparing interim payment applications, valuations, and variation claims
• Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and correspondence
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, industry standards, and project requirements
• Support in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, and site teams for cost control and execution

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
• 3–5 years of experience as a Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor (GCC experience preferred)
• Knowledge of civil and MEP works, measurement, and cost estimation
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and familiarity with cost management tools (CostX, Planswift, etc.)
• Understanding of BOQs, tendering, and contract administration
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
