Production Manager – Goldsmithing

Location: Tubli, Bahrain

Job Summary: The Production Manager in a goldsmithing or jewelry manufacturing facility oversees the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of gold and precious metal jewelry. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience in managing a team of goldsmiths, designers, and artisans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the gold jewelry production process from design to final product.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources to ensure production targets are met.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
• Supervise goldsmiths, artisans, and other production staff, providing guidance and training.
• Implement and optimize manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain strict inventory control of raw materials, including gold, gemstones, and alloys.
• Coordinate with designers, wholesalers, and retailers to meet market demands.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of precious metals.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage material sourcing.
• Monitor production costs and work within budget constraints.

Requirements & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a jewelry manufacturing or goldsmithing environment.
• Strong knowledge of goldsmithing techniques, including casting, polishing, engraving, and stone setting.
• Experience with jewelry production equipment, tools, and modern technologies such as CAD/CAM.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of quality control and compliance standards in jewelry manufacturing.
• Proficiency in inventory management and production planning software.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Jewelry Manufacturing, Metalworking, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in goldsmithing or jewelry production, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Work Environment:

• Works in a jewelry manufacturing facility or workshop.
• May involve handling delicate materials and operating specialized machinery.
• Requires collaboration with various departments, including design, sales, and supply chain.
