Quantity Surveyor – Furnishing & Interior Design

Job Description:
We are urgently hiring a Quantity Surveyor for our furnishing and interior design projects in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will handle detailed quantity estimation, cost analysis, and coordination with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure accurate project costing and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop preliminary and detailed quantity and cost estimates based on client requirements and design inputs.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and verify client requirements.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) with detailed item descriptions, specifications, and rates.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams for quotations and required data.
• Review drawings and specifications from consultants and architects to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare budgetary estimates and detailed rate analysis for projects.
• Maintain project records, drawings, and documentation related to estimation.
• Track revisions, design changes, and additional work, updating estimates accordingly.
• Enter awarded project BOQs into the ERP system.
• Support senior QS and department head with ad hoc tasks as required.
• Submit weekly progress reports detailing the quantum of work achieved.
• Attend departmental and project meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in wooden products manufacturing or interior design projects.
• Experience in GCC countries is an advantage.
• Strong estimation skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and design tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
