A reputable company in Manama, Bahrain is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to lead its finance department. The ideal candidate must be ACCA certified and have strong experience managing accounting operations in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and management reports according to IFRS
• Handle the month-end and year-end closing process
• Ensure full compliance with VAT and other local tax laws and regulations
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely internal and external audit completion
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to improve efficiency and accountability
• Support cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and provide insights to senior management

Candidate Requirements:

• ACCA certification is mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in accounting systems like SAP, Tally, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
