Senior MEP Engineer – Bahrain

We are looking for an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to manage the design, coordination, and execution of MEP systems for large-scale building projects in Bahrain. This role involves working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and compliant MEP works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, review, and execution of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) for high-rise, commercial, and residential projects.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system designs as per project requirements and international standards.
  • Prepare and review MEP drawings, specifications, and material submittals using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM platforms.
  • Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and other services to avoid clashes and project delays.
  • Review subcontractor shop drawings and method statements to ensure compliance with approved designs.
  • Conduct site inspections, monitor installation progress, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and local authority regulations.
  • Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems to ensure full operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot issues during project execution.
  • Stay updated on sustainable design practices, energy-efficient systems, and innovative MEP technologies.
  • Support project managers with resource planning, scheduling, and cost control related to MEP works.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing internal standards, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of proven experience in MEP design, coordination, and execution, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP design tools.
  • Knowledge of international codes and Bahrain/GCC authority requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and team management abilities.
  • Valid GCC Driving License required.
  • Preferred age: 35–40 years.
