Site Engineer (Aluminum)

We are urgently hiring an experienced Site Engineer (Aluminum) to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will manage on-site operations and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of aluminum curtain walls, cladding, and glazing systems.
• Oversee rigging, hoisting, and positioning of fabricated components like mullions, panels, and brackets.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, BIM models, and project specifications.
• Troubleshoot tolerance issues, thermal expansion challenges, and interface conflicts with MEP or structural elements.
• Conduct inspections to meet AAMA, ASTM, and OSHA standards.
• Document non-conformances and coordinate with design/fabrication teams for corrections.
• Track daily progress, report delays, and prepare site reports.
• Manage tools, materials, and equipment including cranes, scaffolding, and sealants.
• Implement site-specific safety plans and train crews on safe handling of glass and aluminum.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers to resolve RFIs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising aluminum and glazing system installations (curtain walls, façades, cladding).
• Strong knowledge of aluminum fabrication methods and installation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings, GD&T, and BIM models.
• Good understanding of building codes, QA testing, and OSHA safety standards.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in varied conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering, or a trade certification.
• Professional certifications such as AWS D1.2 (Aluminum Welding), AAMA Fenestration Master, or Crane/Rigging license.
• Proficiency in software like AutoCAD Viewer, Procore, Bluebeam, or BIM 360.
• Experience with LEED-certified projects or seismic/wind-driven rain testing.
