Urgent Hiring: Testing & Commissioning Engineer (HVAC) – Manama, Bahrain

A reputed company in Bahrain is urgently hiring an experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer (HVAC) to join its engineering team.

Position Overview:

The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will oversee all activities related to HVAC system testing, commissioning, and handover. The role involves ensuring equipment performance, safety, and compliance with international standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 12–15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in Gulf countries working on large-scale HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Commissioning Preparation

  • Review project specifications, equipment submittals, and drawings.
  • Prepare detailed testing and commissioning (T&C) plans.
  • Ensure HVAC systems such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, pumps, and cooling towers are installed as per approved standards.
  • Verify availability of calibrated tools, instruments, and test kits.
  • Coordinate with project teams to confirm site readiness for commissioning.

2. Testing & Commissioning Execution

  • Perform functional checks, start-ups, air and water balancing, and performance testing.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors for solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare method statements, inspection test plans, and commissioning schedules.
  • Record test data, prepare reports, and maintain detailed logs.
  • Support the creation of O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and training materials.

4. Coordination & Compliance

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and third parties for inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE, and Bahrain regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and BMS teams for integrated commissioning.

5. Handover & Post-Commissioning Support

  • Participate in system demonstrations and final handover.
  • Manage HVAC performance during the Defect Liability Period (DLP), including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and ensure smooth system operation.

Salary:

600–800 BHD (depending on experience and qualifications).
