Category Manager

We are hiring a Category Manager – Spirits to manage and grow our spirits portfolio across Bahrain. This role covers all sales channels, including on-trade (hotels, restaurants, bars), off-trade (retail), and wholesale. The goal is to improve profitability, strengthen brand positioning, and develop a strong, diverse spirits selection in the market.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in category management, FMCG or beverage distribution, and a deep understanding of the spirits industry, including premium, mainstream, and craft spirits.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the full spirits category across on-trade, off-trade, and retail channels.
• Build a strong and profitable product portfolio, including premium brands, mainstream products, and craft or artisanal spirits.
• Drive sales growth, margin improvement, and overall category performance.
• Conduct market analysis to understand trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity.
• Plan and support new product launches, promotions, tastings, and promotional events.
• Work closely with suppliers, distributors, and internal sales teams.
• Develop trade marketing strategies to improve product visibility and customer engagement.
• Ensure the company is positioned as a leading destination for spirits selection in Bahrain.
• Train and support internal teams and customers with product knowledge and category insights.
• Monitor performance data and prepare regular category reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in category management, sales, or product management in the FMCG or beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, liquor market trends, and beverage distribution channels.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to drive profitability.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in product launches, trade marketing, or brand activation is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze market data and make strategic decisions.
