Junior HSE Supervisor – Civil Projects

We are looking for a proactive Junior HSE Supervisor to ensure safety and health compliance across our civil construction projects. You will supervise HSE policies, enforce safe work practices, and support our team in maintaining a hazard-free environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on civil construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments for tasks such as excavation, concreting, formwork, and lifting operations.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement immediate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Lead investigations for incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and track corrective measures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
  • Review and assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure safety compliance for heavy equipment, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and safety performance data.
  • Participate in safety meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have strong HSE knowledge and experience in civil construction projects. Essential qualifications include:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles within civil construction projects.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification (required or preferred).
  • Strong understanding of civil construction safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience with high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to enforce safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on site.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
