QS Estimator

We are hiring a QS Estimator for a leading construction company in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender pricing for construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze material costs, labor rates, and equipment pricing.
• Request, review, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and assist in tender pricing.
• Support the preparation of tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Identify cost risks, savings opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Coordinate with engineers, procurement teams, and project managers.
• Ensure all estimates follow company standards and client requirements.
• Maintain cost databases and update historical pricing records.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation in construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software.
• Good understanding of contracts, tenders, and procurement processes.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple projects.
